[English]

Background and Objective: Cultivating creative thinking in medical students is very important, because these students will work as doctors and researchers in the medical field in the future. Therefore, it is very important to use methods such as clinical scenario writing in order to strengthen and develop creative thinking in medical students. This study was conducted with the aim of developing creative thinking of students of clinical stage of general medicine course using scenario writing style.
Materials and Methods: In this study, 24 clinical faculty members of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti, Baqiyat Allah, Artesh and Shahed who met the inclusion criteria, were invited to participate in the study. Data Collection tools; The scenarios were designed by the professors. Qualitative content analysis method was used for data analysis and then the obtained findings were analyzed and reviewed.
Results: In this study, 24 clinical professors of medicine were included in the study. In the analysis of scenarios collected by clinical professors based on Gilford's criteria of creative thinking, significant statistical evidence was obtained in the criteria of fluidity and expansion, but in the criteria of innovation and flexibility, less evidence could be counted.
Conclusion: This study showed that the use of scenario writing style can help foster creative thinking of medical students in the clinical stage.
