اثر خستگی و دوره بالینی بر افسردگی، اضطراب، استرس، کیفیت زندگی و وضعیت اشتغال بیماران مولتیپل اسکلروزیس

چکیده

مقدمه و هدف: در مولتیپل اسکلروزیس (MS) خستگی علامت شایعی است و بیشتر بیماران آن در دو تیپ عود-بهبود (RRMS) و پیشرونده ثانویه (SPMS) جای دارند. خستگی با توجه به‌ایجاد احساس ضعف و فقدان انرژی و دوره بالینی نیز به‌ دلیل استقرار یک پیش­آگهی متغیر، قادرند بر علائم روانی، توانایی کارکردی و وضعیت اشتغال مبتلایان تأثیربگذارند. بنابراین هدف از مطالعه حاضر ارزیابی اثر خستگی و دوره بالینی در علائم روانی، کیفیت زندگی و وضعیت اشتغال است.
 مواد و روش‌ها: در این پژوهش گذشته­نگرمقطعی، 152 بیمار به‌ شیوه پیاپی نمونه‌گیری شدند. تمام بیماران با استفاده از مقیاس شدت خستگی (FSS)، مقیاس افسردگی، اضطراب، استرس (DASS-21) و پرسش­نامه فرم‌کوتاه زمینه‌یابی سلامت (36-SF) مورد ارزیابی قرارگرفتند. داده‌ها با استفاده از تحلیل واریانس چندمتغیری (MANOVA) و آزمون دقیق فیشر تجزیه­وتحلیل­شدند.
 یافته‌ها: میانگین نمرات علائم روانی و ابعاد فیزیکی و روان‌شناختی در بیماران خسته و SPMS وخیم‌تر از گروه‌های غیرخسته وRRMS بود؛ همچنین بیکاری با فراوانی بیشتری در بیماران خسته گزارش­شد. در این‌باره بین RRMS و SPMS یافته معناداری مشاهده­نشد؛ علاوه­برآن تفاوت دو گروه از بیماران خسته و غیرخسته و RRMS و SPMS در متغیرهای افسردگی، اضطراب، استرس، ابعاد فیزیکی و روان­شناختی معنادار به‌دست­آمد (05/0P<).
 نتیجه‌گیری: این پژوهش تأثیر خستگی و دوره بالینی را بر علائم روانی، جنبه­های فیزیکی و روان‌شناختی زندگی و وضعیت اشتغال بیماران MS توضیح­داد. هرچند به‌نظرمی‌رسد اثرگذاری برخی متغیرها بر یکدیگر در یک ارتباط دوسویه نیز قابل­تبیین باشد. تلویح­های بالینی مورد بحث قرارگرفته­ است.

Interactive effect of endurance training and curcumin supplementation on some indices of liver damage in rats exposed to heavy metal lead

چکیده [English]

Background and Objective: Lead can cause liver damage in which oxidative stress is involved. Exercise and use of anti-oxidative substances such as anti-oxidative curcumin may stop the production of free radicals. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the protective effect of endurance training and curcumin against lead toxic effect on hepatic tissue in male rats.
 Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, 60 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 6 groups, control , sham, lead,  exercise + lead,  curcumin+lead and exercise+lead+curcumin (n=10 in each group). The exercise training consisted of 25-64 min of running on an ungraded treadmill at a speed of 15-22 m/min for 8 weeks. Curcumin (30 mg/kg) and lead (20 mg/kg of lead acetate) were administered for 8 weeks, 3 days/week, intraperitoneally. Serum ALT, AST and ALP were measured by colorimetric method.
 Results: The results showed that 8 weeks of lead exposure causes a significant increase of AST and ALT in the lead group as compared to control group (p =0.002, p = 0.007, respectively). Endurance training and curcumin consumption significantly decreased AST and ALT(p =0.041 and  p =0.009, respectively). After endurance training and curcumin consumption, ALP non-significantly decreased (p =0.692).
 Conclusion: Regular exercise and curcumin supplement may inhibit liver damage induced by lead
