Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess the effect of swimming exercise and garlic extract on the some of growth factors involved in angiogenesis and neurogenesis in the brain tissue of old rats. Materials and Methods: In this research study, 35 sedentary aged male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups (7 rats per group) of control, saline, garlic, aerobic exercise, and garlic+exercise. The animals were exercised by swimming training at 3 min to 60 min per day, five days a week for 8 weeks. The extract of garlic (2.5 g/kg) was administered by gastric gavage to old rats. The rats were killed 72 h after the last treatments and the brain transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) level were evaluated by ELISA method. One-way analysis of variance was used for data analysis. Results: The results showed that 8-week swimming training, garlic consumption and the combined intervention decreased brain TGF-β1 and increased VEGF level in aged rats (p < 0.05). Conclusion: It seems that regular swimming training, garlic consumption and the combined intervention protects against age-related decline of angiogenesis and neurogenesis in the brain by up-regulation of VEGF and decreasing TGF- β1 levels in old rats.}, keywords = {Brain,Neurogenesis,Swimming,Transforming growth factor β1,Vascular endothelial growth factor}, title_fa = {اثر تمرین هوازی شنا و مصرف عصارۀ سیر بر سطوح برخی از فاکتور‌های رشد مداخله‌گر در آنژیوژنز و نروژنز بافت مغز در موش‌های صحرایی پیر}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه و هدف: با افزایش سن، آنژیوژنز و نروژنز در مغز کاهش می‌یابد؛ درحالی‌که فعالیت ورزشی منظم و مکمل‌های آنتی‌اکسیدانی با تغییرات فیزیولوژیکی مختلف در مغز همراه می‌باشد. لذا هدف از تحقیق حاضر، بررسی اثر تمرین هوازی شنا و عصارۀ سیر بر سطوح برخی از فاکتور‌های رشد مداخله‌گر، در آنژیوژنز و نروژنز بافت مغز در موش های صحرایی پیر بود. مواد و روش‌ها: ۳۵ سر موش پیر (۲۰تا۳۰ماهه) صحرایی نر ویستار پیر، به‌صورت تصادفی، به ۵ گروه (۷تایی) کنترل، سالین، تمرین هوازی، سیر و تمرین هوازی + سیر تقسیم شدند. حیوانات با تمرین شنا به‌مدت ۶۰ دقیقه، ۳ بار در روز، به‌مدت ۸ هفته، ورزش داده شدند. عصارۀ سیر (۵/۲گرم/کیلوگرم وزن بدن) به‌صورت گاواژ معده مصرف شد. موش‌ها ۷۲ ساعت پس از آخرین مداخله‌ها کشته شدند و سطوح مغزی فاکتور رشد تبدیل بتا ۱ (TGF-β1) و فاکتور رشد اندوتلیال عروقی (VEGF) به‌روش الایزا تعیین شد. از آزمون آنالیز واریانس یک‌ طرفه برای آنالیز داده‌ها استفاده شد (۰۵/۰>p < /span>). نتایج: نتایج نشان داد که ۸ هفته تمرین منظم شنا و مصرف سیر و ترکیبی از دو مداخله، موجب کاهش سطوح مغزی TGF-β1 و افزایش VEGFدرمقایسه با گروه کنترل شد (۰۵/۰>p < /span>). نتیجه‌گیری: به‌نظر می‌رسد که تمرین منظم شنا و مصرف سیر و ترکیبی از دو مداخله می‌تواند از کاهش آنژیوژنز و نروژنز مغزی مرتبط به پیری، به‌واسطۀ تنظیم مثبت سطوح VEGF و کاهش سطوح TGF-β1 در رت‌های پیر حمایت نماید. }, keywords_fa = {مغز,نروژنز,شنا,فاکتور رشد تبدیل- بتا یک,فاکتور رشد اندوتلیال عروقی}, url = {https://daneshvarmed.shahed.ac.ir/article_1709.html}, eprint = {https://daneshvarmed.shahed.ac.ir/article_1709_faad0205dbdf4c671bb86c4198c08552.pdf} }
